Summerfest 2012!

Summerfest, Miramar Peninsula’s coolest little beer and food festival, took place on Sunday 26th February in the Worser Bay Boating Club.
It was a celebration of great summer tastes, with more than 400 people from all over Wellington enjoying the gorgeous waterfront setting and the impressive selection of boutique beers with food matches, including whitebait fritters, Mexican potato pancakes, gingerbread and blue cheese and salmon on a cedar plank.

Beer critic Neil Miller was on hand to offer tasting notes and it was all accompanied by fantastic live music; jazz, gypsy, folk and more. There was also wine from Lil Rippa and margaritas from favourite Miramar restaurant, La Boca Loca.
Entertainment for the children was provided on Worser Bay Beach, while Wellington comedian Mr Fungus proved a hit with all ages.
All proceeds from the event went to Worser Bay School.
