Kia ora e te whānau
The penultimate has been and gone, and now this is it - the final Newsletter for the year that is soon to be completed.
It's all a bit of a whir at the moment - and we also are so pleased with what we have accomplished and the big end we are having to a big year.
This week, the children have enjoyed the beach learning, getting physical, tripping off into space, sharing their learning with parents, indulging in the grand finale Year 6 Dinner and entertaining a number of Wrap Practices!
Next week, there are still some very large ticket items remaining. Monday morning, we have the Year 6 Poroaki and on Tuesday evening THE WRAP where all of your children will be performing and it's all a bit of fun. So far, the weather is behaving, so all will be well and jolly in the courtyard. If you wish to get familiar with the Chrissy tunes, we have this list on the agenda for the community sing song:
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer
Jingle Bells
Feliz Navidad.

We are sorry but we have not yet received confirmation from the Ministry of Education as to whether this Curriculum Day (1 of 2 in 2025) granted to schools to implement the brand new Maths Curriculum, will go ahead on this day. The hope is that teachers from the 10 Primary and Intermediate schools in our Kāhui Ako will be learning together at this time.
In the meantime, please mark this day as a non-school day and we will confirm as soon as we know.
My guiding mantra is 'Encouraging a Community to Flourish'. I hope that you, your children and wider whānau are on your way, if not there.
On Wednesday, we will be taking steps out of the gate and off to a summer break, doing what fills our cup.
Make the most of each day and see you in 2025.
