Our invaluable Teacher/Parent chats are almost through and the feedback has been terrific. I don't think we have realised how much we have missed you since we couldn't have you in as much as we were used to. In a bit of another topsy turvy year we have, together, kept the waka moving at a steady pace, through the odd small rapid and around a rock or two, landing here on our fine shores!

The staff have kept on chugging, the children have kept on chugging, you have kept on chugging!

We have seen some of our best results in terms of acceleration of progress (shifts) in Reading, Writing and Maths than we have ever seen. Our infamous Senior Beach Week(s) that's a slippery s, a week into weeks.... is helping to keep focus and interest and burn energy! (For staff too!)

We are excited to have big plans in place for 2022. Umbrella concepts.... Imagination.... Mana ....... are to name a couple. We want to switch some new lights on and spark Curiosity. To do this, we will be calling out for some bright ideas from you - we will need a-plenty with us on the 2022 'keep stepping things up' trip.

You will know your child's Base Group teacher by now, you will have had a chance to chat at the info sessions, you have read the FAQs in the Newsletters.... your children have all spent time in their areas for next year, the teachers have swapped classes to get to know your child as a learner, teachers have had rich discussion about your child as a whole person and a learner...... across spaces.

We are feeling onto it and proud of where we are heading.

Please contact your 2022 Base Group teacher with anything you feel they need to know from you before the end of the term. We will have Goal Setting, we will have the Beach Picnic... the usual early calendar dates to get together, but go into the holidays feeling like you have alerted them to anything - you don't want that nagging thought to interrupt beach/bush/down time!
