Welcome to a bright new term - full of autumnal opportunities!
Now we wondered how swimming would go being the first day back and I am pleased to report I have never ever heard the staff so enthusiastic and positive about the whole experience. No changing room shenanigans, no dawdling, great instruction following..... obviously Mondays are the way to go! Get them corralled up and into the swing of the school routine for the rest of the week!
Over the break, we had confirmation of the final copy of our pou project being published in the Education Gazette. It's a good school story - so I encourage you to have a read here. It's a massive achievement.
If you are a news follower, you will have heard about the priorities for education over the coming while. The details of the plans haven't been outlined yet (at the time of writing) but there will potentially be some tweaking happening in our planning - depending on what the 'to dos' are. We will let you know if anything will be too different.
You will be booking in for mid term Parent/Teacher Meetings before you know it. Written reports have been drafted over the break. The difference with this connection point is the full and frank conversation opportunity as it's just the adults in the room. But, as usual...., if you are worried about your child, please don't wait until this formal opportunity - email your Base Group teachers and arrange a time to chat - they will do likewise......, otherwise, the worry tends to expand and that's not healthy!
You will have seen in the team's email communications that they have big plans for these weeks ahead. A big focus for them is to inspire the children, get them working proactively, creating and coming up with their ideas and additions.... and, of course, teachers will be hooking you in and asking for your input and experiences to add to the richness of the Worser Bay second quarter!
We are ready!
