"No other school in the area can boast the premier position commanded by Worser Bay School."

"Worser Bay is a real neighbourhood school."

"It provides a family atmosphere and is known throughout the area for its inclusive and supportive school community."

"The goal Worser Bay School set for itself to provide a supportive, cooperative and stimulating environment to promote the balanced growth of each individual is being achieved."

"For 100 years Worser Bay children have been the winners by being part of a school that has not only provided quality education but has also provided the glue which has helped keep the community together."

These are all words from a piece Dame Annette King, who was MP for Rongotai at the time, used to describe the school at its 100 Year celebration.

Quarter of a century on, I think all of these still ring true. Things need to change as the world changes but the overall 'open hearts, open minds' philosophy is embedded deep into the rock.

When we look at the visual of our Strategic Plan with these words in mind, you can still see and feel all of these great attributes alive within the school's future direction.

Our upcoming School Fair on Sunday 13 November is a time when all of these attributes are also in full bloom. Yes, it's about money and it's about community and it's about providing the extra means for our current and future Worser Bay kids to have every opportunity to thrive.

Who doesn't want that?

Please join in the merriment.
